About Me
I'm a licensed psychotherapist in California specializing in anxiety, relationship challenges, family dynamics, and identity exploration.
I received my Master's in Social Work from the University of Michigan and completed post-graduate training at the San Francisco Department of Public Health. Prior to my graduate training, I received B.A. in Political Science and a B.A. in Gender Studies from the University of Maryland. Throughout my work in community mental health and private practice, I've had the privilege of walking alongside clients from diverse backgrounds and life experiences.
As an Indian-American woman, I understand what it's like to live between cultures - to feel "too much" of one or "not enough" of another. This lived experience shapes how I hold space for nuance, contradiction, and the complex reality of belonging in my work. I know firsthand how family expectations, cultural identity, and personal authenticity can create both richness and tension in our lives.
Whether you're feeling overwhelmed by anxiety, caught in relationship patterns that no longer serve you, or needing space to reconnect with who you are beyond others' expectations, I'm here to support you in that work.
I believe therapy should reflect who you are. There's no one-size-fits-all approach. My goal is to create a space that feels tailored to your needs, grounded in your reality, and built on genuine collaboration. In session with me, you can expect exploration, curiosity, respect, and often a little laughter along the way.
My style is warm, direct, and collaborative.
As an intersectional therapist, I offer culturally affirming care that honors the full complexity of your experience. We'll explore both your internal world - your thoughts, emotions, and patterns - and the cultural contexts, family systems, and broader influences that have shaped who you are. I work especially well with people navigating anxiety, relationship challenges, identity questions, and life transitions. Many of my clients are adult children of immigrants working through attachment, boundaries, and family dynamics, feeling caught between honoring their heritage and creating their own path.
Our work together will be guided by what feels most helpful and meaningful for you. In my work, I draw from my education and training in evidence-based therapies including Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Compassion-Focused Therapy, and mindfulness practices.
